Garden party at the Dahlingers

This is part one of what I'm sure will be a multi part post. For those that could not attend today you missed out on a great day of food, fun, and games. We played Croquette, Leo won. We played Badminton, Kim and Monique won. and we played some horse-shoes, Matt Bogue won. All in all it was loads of fun and the weather was super cooperative.

I started running out of things to say about the pics so I will leave some of them blank and those that were there can edit in their own descriptions. Enjoy!!

Jen and Emberle enjoy a little conversation during the garden party today.

Ashton and Katrina have some yummy hot-dog for lunch to gain energy for a great day of playing

How is it Christine?

Smile pretty for the camera girls!

The Ladies had a pamper night on friday. They all took turns painting tes and giving masages. It was supposed to be to help Michele but I think they all had some alterior motives in mind...

Here you can see them giving each other a back rub.

Why I'm Not Seeing "The Code"

Da Vinci and his perplexing "code" hits theaters this weekend, and I am sure most of you know the boycott and all the other hubbub going on with it. But I'm not going to see it. Here's why:

It diminishes, distorts, and denies the glory of Jesus Christ and who He is revealed in the Scriptures.

Now I know first and foremost than Dan Brown wrote this little novel to be a piece of "fiction" but as D. James Kennedy once said, "When a lie goes unanswered, it becomes part of people's thinking." That's exactly what is happening with this book/movie.

But the bigger issue to me is that this makes Jesus out to be someone who He isn't. It denies His deity, distorts the cross, and diminishes His resurrection from the dead. And I can't participate in something that cuts right at the truth of the One I seek to honor with all my life. So I'm not going. And that's my answer plain and simple.

You might choose to go, and that's up to you. But I'm not giving Hollywood one cent of my money for propagating a lie about Christ. That's all I have to say about that.

Athanasius

Totally Legit

I think it is totallly legit that we have a PIC Blog. Hopefully this will all bring us closer together and enable us to encourage one another in our relatioships with Christ. I also think it would be cool to see what our likes and dislikes are. So, with that being said, Here is the first PIC poll question: What type of food is your flavor? Mine would be Mexican or Italian any day of the week, but Mexican is numero uno babio!!!

This is J Crew signing off.

From the Coadys

Hello Everyone,

While we dont have a blog up (yet, sorta) we do have some pictures up at coadys.us

I also have a prayer request: FamilyPass failed to secure additional funding, so today was my last day working for them. I have a few job leads, but if you know anyone looking to hire a software engineer, it would be appreciated if you passed along my resume. It is located at josh.coady.us

Thanks,
Josh

Edit: Lets be sure to pray for the Coadys!

What a group we have!

Not knowing who in our group will see this, I wanted just to let everyone know what a great group I think you are. Rarely do you see a group of people our age able to be so giving of time and resources to others. They way you all have rallied around each other is amazing and heartwarming to me. I can see that the focus is on The Father and not ourselves. I just think this group is a rare gift and I wanted to say thanks for allowing Sarah and I to be a part of it. Enough of the sap now, I'm done :)

P.I.C. Blog Central

In the past few months several among our ranks have plunged headfirst into the realm of the blogosphere. It occured to me that it would be nice to have one central location from which to begin my blog reading for the day. Rather than having to save a pile of bookmarks in my browser, why not have all the links in one spot? I don't know, maybe this is just an excuse for me start another blog to increase my geek rating. At any rate, I have (or will) linked all known PIC blogs to this blog.

Also, if you want to become a Team Member of this blog, you will be able to post your own post, or pics, or vids, or whatever. Just sign-up for a blogger account (free) and let me know you want to be a Team Member and I'll send you an invite.

Enjoy!
